The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch Anime Unveils New Video, Opening Song, and Cast
The anime's third main promotional video reveals the new opening theme song "∞Rettō-Sei" by Akari Nanawo, and introduces comedy trio Gerrardon member Attack Nishimoto as Ursa Minor, a Virgo Magic student.
The story follows Witch apprentice Spica Virgo, who struggles with magic and seeks a mentor. She encounters a mysterious black cat with magical abilities, and they form a pact to break a curse. The anime features a diverse cast of characters, including Claude Sirius, Aria Aquarius, and more.
Directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa, the anime is produced by LIDEN FILMS. Midori Gotō handles the series scripts, and Takayuki Onoda designs the characters. ASCA performs the opening theme, and Spira Spica performs the ending theme.
The anime debuted on April 12 and airs for a continuous two cours or half-year run. It is broadcast on CBC, TBS, and 26 other channels on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. Crunchyroll streams the anime as it airs.
The manga, launched by Yōsuke Kaneda in March 2022, is published by Kodansha's Magazine Pocket and K MANGA service. Kodansha published the 14th compiled book volume on March 9.
